Archibald Hamilton and Oliver De Lancey were New York loyalists who served on the side of the British during the American Revolutionary War. Hamilton was appointed Colonel Commandant of the Queens County Militia in 1778. De Lancey commanded three battalions, collectively known as De Lancey's Brigade, beginning in September of 1776.
